FORT HOOD, Texas – The III Armored Corps Soldiers from Fort Hood are bringing the “U.S. Army Experience – Basic Training Challenge” to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for an action-packed, multiday roadshow from July 27 through July 31. The tour will engage student-athletes across the region in immersive, Army-style team-building events hosted at several independent school district stadiums.
The 2026 USAE Dallas Roadshow will make stops at several prominent high school football stadiums across the metroplex, beginning with DeSoto High School on July 27.
The roadshow is designed to increase positive awareness of the Army and potential career opportunities while strengthening community relations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. At each stop, experienced U.S. Army drill sergeants and noncommissioned officers will lead a basic training challenge, translating core Army values – loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage – into real-world leadership skills.
Operating under the theme “Attention to Detail / Teamwork is Key,” participants will take part in authentic Army training exercises. Student groups must complete each task collectively to succeed. These carefully designed, high-stress and complex tasks will push students’ mental and physical limits building resilience, confidence and trust. Focusing heavily on discipline, effective communication and cohesion, the challenge emphasizes Army warrior ethos, “I will never leave a fallen comrade.”
