FORT HOOD, Texas – The Fort Hood Directorate of Emergency Services has closed West Range Road from Elijah Road to Old Georgetown Road until further notice due to an active wildland fire in the area.

Fort Hood emergency services personnel are on the scene.

Due to the ongoing firefighting efforts and to ensure the safety of the community, all service members, civilian personnel and residents must avoid the affected areas immediately. Please plan alternate routes and do not attempt to bypass barricades or traffic control points. Keeping the area clear is critical to allowing emergency crews unimpeded access to the scene.
