FORT HOOD, Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center administrative offices and clinics will modify hours in observance of the Labor Day federal holiday 4 – 7 Sept. The hospital remains open every day for emergency services, inpatient care, and labor and delivery services.
Monroe and Bennett Health Clinics and Yoakum-Defrenn Army Heliport Aviation Clinic (formerly Troop Medical Clinic -12) Soldier Centered Medical Home will be closed on Friday, 4 Sept. Active-Duty Service members enrolled to either of those clinics should seek care at Thomas Moore Health Clinic that day.
The Killeen, West Killeen, and Harker Heights Community Based Medical Homes, Thomas Moore, Russell Collier, and Troop Medical Clinic 14 Soldier Centered Medical Homes, CRDAMC Internal Medicine, Family Medicine Residency and Pediatric clinics and services will be open Friday, 4 Sept.
Dental Clinics
Dental Clinics 2 & 3, Billy Johnson, and Fairbanks will be closed for active-duty service members Friday, 4 Sept. Any servicemember assigned to these dental clinics may seek care at Perkins Dental Clinic from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Pharmacies
Friday, 4 Sept.
The main hospital, Clear Creek PX, and Thomas Moore Health Clinic pharmacies will be open.
Saturday, 5 Sept.
Clear Creek PX Pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Q Anywhere and the Q Anywhere APP
Avoid waiting in line as beneficiaries are highly encouraged to use Q-Anywhere for new prescription activation during working hours. Q-Anywhere now allows activation even when the pharmacy is closed after hours. To initiate or activate your prescription processing, TEXT, “Get in Line” to 855-812-6030 (do not call as this is a text only system). You may also pick up refills at the Automated Vending Machine, or ScriptCenter, by selecting to send your refills to the Main Hospital ScriptCenter located in the main lobby, to the Clear Creek PX ScriptCenter located in the pharmacy hallway or alternately contacting the Pharmacy Call Center at 254-288-8800 for assistance. Please note that Fort Hood Telecom is experiencing intermittent phone issues which include call disconnections and inability for staff to hear callers. Pharmacy staff will attempt to return phones calls when caller ID is available. The Q Anywhere App is now available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Beneficiaries can now find and select their military pharmacy directly from the app – no location-specific link or QR code required.

TRICARE Prime beneficiaries with urgent, emergent care needs should seek assistance at the CRDAMC emergency department during the holiday.

The Nurse Advice Line is available 24/7 at (800) TRICARE (1-800-874-2273), Option 1. Registered nurses can provide guidance for urgent health concerns, non-emergency situations, and self-care for injuries and illnesses.
Beneficiaries can make or cancel appointments through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal at patientportal.mhsgenesis.health.mil or by calling 254-288-8888.
The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal also allows beneficiaries to request pharmacy refills and access health information, including laboratory results, radiology and pathology reports, and clinical notes, as they become available.
