For Immediate Release
FORT HOOD, Texas – The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center will execute critical medical training from 31 May – 5 June.
The Fort Hood Joint Emergency Medicine Exercise (JEMX) trains members of the CRDAMC and III Armored Corps medical teams to deliver life-saving care on the battlefield. We thank our beneficiaries for their patience and advise them that routine outpatient clinics will operate with reduced staffing during this time.
This temporary reduction will primarily affect routine appointment availability with specific providers and clinics. It will not impact inpatient hospital operations, and the CRDAMC Emergency Department will remain fully staffed and open 24/7 for all medical emergencies.
During this period, CRDAMC medical personnel will be training and supporting the JEMX. The exercise brings together over 500 service members from 22 units, representing over 15 medical specialties alongside our multi-national partners from the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, and the Republic of Korea.
Beneficiaries are encouraged to use the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal to manage routine appointments or message their care teams.
For immediate, non-emergency medical advice, patients can contact the TRICARE Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1.
