FORT HOOD, Texas – The 36th Engineer Brigade will conduct essential training with a Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC) March 12 between 3 – 6 p.m., resulting in loud noises and temporary closure of several roads and training areas on the installation.

During this time frame, East Range Road from Mile Marker 9 to Triple A Road and all tank trails in Training Areas 16, 20, 22 and 23 will be closed. Unit personnel will post road guards at all critical access points to ensure the areas are secure during the live-fire event.

Residents on and around Fort Hood should expect to hear increased noise during the scheduled training window. Fort Hood officials emphasize that all operations are carefully planned and coordinated to ensure the safety of service members and the surrounding community.

All installation personnel and visitors who may work in or travel through these training areas should remain clear of the specified locations during the posted times. Individuals are reminded not to enter restricted training areas at any time and to report any unexploded ordnance or suspicious objects by calling 911 or the Fort Hood Directorate of Emergency Services.
