FORT HOOD, Texas – 6th Battalion, 56th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Artillery Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division will conduct a Stinger Live Fire Exercise at the Owl Creek Assault Course at 10 a.m. on May 5th to showcase the increased accuracy and lethality achieved while employing the Stryker-based platform.

RELATED INFO: The live fire exercise will demonstrate the increased capability achieved by Stryker-based platforms, when compared to the traditional shoulder-fired system, which will allow Red Team to engage multiple stinger missiles in a live-fire environment with different effectors in a congested airspace.
Approximately 3,000 Red Team Soldiers and 1,000 pieces of equipment provide the 1st Cavalry Division with long-range precision effects and the ability to win with fires.
This live fire exercise will refine the skills necessary to deploy combat ready forces to deter or defeat our adversaries in support of the Joint Force anywhere in the world.
