FORT HOOD, Texas – III Armored Corps and Fort Hood will host the U.S. Army Experience and Killeen Independent School District Band Showcase beginning at 3 p.m. Aug. 21 at Phantom Warrior Stadium.

Band students from Ellison, Shoemaker, Killeen, Harker Heights and Chaparral High Schools will attend an interactive U.S. Army Experience Career Expo starting at 3 p.m., featuring static military displays, recruiting information and an opportunity to meet the 1st Cavalry Division Band representatives.

At 6 p.m., the award-winning marching bands will take the field to showcase the dedication and talent of local student musicians as they perform parts of their marching routines for the upcoming competition season.

The event is open to the public. Non-DOD ID-card holders must obtain a pass from the Marvin Leath Visitor’s Center prior to coming on post.
