FORT HOOD, Texas – Fort Hood is set to host 200 Junior ROTC cadets from the North East Independent School District June 4 for a day of hands-on activities and direct engagement with Soldiers.
The full-day visit will provide cadets with a comprehensive look into the life of a Soldier and the operational capabilities of the U.S. Army.
Cadets will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including a visit to the National Mounted Warrior Museum, a 1st Cavalry Division Horse Detachment demonstration, lunch with Soldiers at a dining facility and guided tours of motor pools – featuring hands-on exposure to military vehicles, military aircraft and logistics systems from the 1st Cavalry Division and the 13th Armored Corps Sustainment Command.
“We are thrilled to welcome the bright young cadets from North East ISD to Fort Hood,” said Maj. Tifani Summers, III Armored Corps Public Affairs Office plans chief. “This visit is a fantastic opportunity for them to see the professionalism, dedication, and diverse skills of our Soldiers up close. We hope to provide an experience that is not only educational but also inspires them to consider a future of service.”
