FORT HOOD, Texas – Santa’s Workshop at The Great Place is hosting its “Christmas in July” from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. July 23 at Santa’s Workshop (next to the Clear Creek Commissary).

Families are invited to join the organization for a “sun-sational” celebration featuring a special appearance by Santa Claus himself. During the event, qualifying children of active-duty service members will receive a free toy, books, games, and extra goodies to enjoy for the rest of the summer.

The celebration serves a critical operational purpose for the beloved community organization. In addition to spreading mid-year holiday cheer, the initiative allows Santa’s Workshop to clear out old stock and previous donations to prepare their inventory for the busy upcoming winter holiday season.

The event will serve as a community hub, with various local organizations setting up on-site to share opportunities with the Fort Hood community and recruit volunteers to support future initiatives.
