FORT HOOD, Texas – The Fort Hood Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and
Recreation will host the III Armored Corps Fight Night Championship between Fort Hood and
Fort Bliss, Texas, boxers at 6 p.m. June 26 at Abrams Physical Fitness Center.
The event will feature championship bouts between active-duty Soldiers representing two of the
three III Armored Corps installations. Each bout will include three two-minute rounds, with
winners crowned in their respective weight classes.
The event is open to anyone with installation access. Doors open at 5 p.m. and attendees are
encouraged to arrive early. Civilians without a Department of Defense ID card may obtain a
visitor pass at the Marvin Leath Visitor Center.
Fighter weigh-ins are scheduled for 8 a.m. June 25, at Abrams Physical Fitness Center (Abrams
Gym).
In preparation for the event, all workout areas inside Abrams Physical Fitness Center will close
at 5 p.m., June 25. The facility, including the basketball court, will reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday,
June 29.

Media covering weigh-ins should arrive by 7:30 a.m., June 25, at the south-side parking lot of
the Marvin Leath Visitor Center for an escort by a public affairs representative.
Media covering the qualifying bouts should arrive by 5:30 p.m. on June 26, at the south side
parking lot of the Marvin Leath Visitor Center for an escort by a public affairs representative.
