FORT HOOD, Texas – Houston Texans running back Woody Marks will host a special two-day youth football camp for military children ages 6 to 14 from 9 a.m. to noon July 11-12 at Phantom Warrior Stadium.
The event is designed to offer more than just athletic instruction. For children growing up in military families-who routinely face the challenges of parental deployments, frequent relocations, and the stress of adapting to new environments-the camp provides a vital space for community connection and mutual support.
Through structured drills and team-building exercises, the camp aims to foster resilience, build self-confidence, and celebrate the unique sacrifices made by the youngest members of the military community.
During the two-day session Marks will work directly with the participants, delivering hands-on coaching and sharing personal insights on perseverance, physical fitness, and mental toughness.
Media wishing to cover the camp must RSVP to Fort Hood Media Relations at 254-449-5298 no later than 3 p.m. July 10.
Media covering the event should arrive by 9 a.m. July 11 at the south side parking lot of the Marvin Leath Visitor Center for an escort by a public affairs representative.
