FORT HOOD officials test emergency alert system
FORT HOOD, Texas — No emergency currently exists at FORT HOOD. During a monthly test of FORT HOOD’s emergency alert system, FORT HOOD officials activated the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAAWS). The system malfunctioned and did not broadcast the correct test message. FORT HOOD officials are determining how the system malfunctioned.
