FORT HOOD, Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center will host the 51st Annual Retiree Health Fair on Sept. 19. An opening ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the health fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hospital atrium.
The annual event will bring together healthcare professionals, military organizations and community partners to help retirees and eligible beneficiaries stay informed about their health and available resources.
The health fair will feature a variety of services and educational opportunities, including health and dental screenings, wellness education, pharmacy information, TRICARE resources, nutrition counseling, mental health resources, and immunizations from CRDAMC staff, as well as information and services from military and community organizations.
The event is also an opportunity for attendees to learn more about services available through CRDAMC and its community partners, ask questions of healthcare professionals and identify resources they may need throughout the year.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their military identification and any relevant healthcare information.
In addition to healthcare resources, beneficiaries can receive information about legal assistance available through the Fort Hood Legal Assistance Office in Building 13, 52nd St., Fort Hood on Friday 18 Sept. from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Representatives will be available to provide information about legal services and eligibility, draft and execute wills, advance medical directives, and powers of attorney.
