FORT HOOD, Texas — Fort Hood will host U.S. Army Experience 2026 March 25-27. Comprised of two simultaneous events—Career Expo and Basic Training Challenge—U.S. Army Experience 2026 is a unique field trip opportunity for high school students.
U.S. Army Experience will run daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 25-27, 2026. The Career Expo will include dozens of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and College, Career and Military Readiness activities.
Performances by the 1st Cavalry Division Band, a helicopter flyover and hands-on experiences with Army equipment like the Abrams Main Battle Tank and Bradley Fighting Vehicle are also planned.
High schools interested in attending the Career Expo should register using this form. The event is open to all high school students.
Basic Training Challenge is scheduled for March 25-26, 2026. The event will offer student-athletes a firsthand look at the challenges and teamwork involved in Army Basic Training. Led by U.S. Army noncommissioned officers and based on the Army’s core values, student-athletes will finish Basic Training Challenge better prepared to succeed in their sports and in the classroom.
High schools interested in attending the Basic Training Challenge should register using this form as soon as possible. The event is open to male and female student-athletes from all sports. Due to limited capacity for this event, we anticipate all slots will be filled soon.
