The Bow Wow Luau takes place Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Zenner Family Aquatic Center (1800 E. Stan Schlueter Loop).

The annual event features pool time, contests, treats and goodie bags while supplies last. Competitions include Best Costume, Owner-Dog Lookalike, and Best Bark.

Admission is free and limited to the first 100 dogs. No registration is required.

Dogs must be microchipped, sterilized and vaccinated for rabies. Proof of rabies vaccination and microchipping is required at entry.
