FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FORT HOOD, Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center will transition Harker Heights Medical Home providers and beneficiaries to primary care clinics on Fort Hood in mid-October, ensuring continued access to comprehensive care while the Harker Heights facility undergoes evaluation for ongoing climate control issues.
Patients currently assigned to Harker Heights Medical Home will be reassigned within the CRDAMC primary care network. Beneficiaries will receive notification of their new clinic location by email, letter, or phone call.
“The Harker Heights Medical Home is a valued part of our healthcare network,” said Col. Mark Jacques, CRDAMC commander. “Ongoing climate control issues at the clinic have resulted in inconsistent temperatures that affect the comfort of patients and staff. Consolidating services will enhance healthcare delivery and effectiveness for our patients and staff.”
CRDAMC is committed to minimizing disruption to patient care during the transition. No services will be discontinued, and patients will continue receiving uninterrupted, compassionate care from their healthcare teams.
Beneficiaries are encouraged to verify that their contact information is current in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System and the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal to ensure they receive timely notification.
For more information, beneficiaries may contact the Harker Heights Clinic Team at 254-553-5901. Updates will also be posted on the CRDAMC website and official social media pages.
