FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center will host a change of command ceremony at 11:00 a.m. June 18 at the hospital marking the transfer of leadership from Col. Garrick L. Cramer to Col. Mark L. Jacques.
Brig. Gen. Yolonda “YR” Summons, commander, Medical Readiness Command, West will serve as the reviewing officer for the ceremony.
Jacques previously served as the command surgeon, 29th Hospital Center, 62nd Medical Brigade, 593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command. He has been awarded the Surgeon General’s A-Designator in Aerospace Medicine and has held several assignments as a medical director or commander.
Jacques has a master’s degree in public health from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and is board certified in Pediatrics, Aerospace Medicine, and Occupational Medicine.
Cramer will become the deputy commander, 65th Medical Brigade, Republic of Korea.
